SAN DIEGO, California – United States Dominates Canada, Secures Spot in W Gold Cup Final
The highly anticipated second semifinal of the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup between the United States and Canada did not disappoint, as the Stars and Stripes secured their spot in the Final after an intense penalty shootout.
The match, held at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, was a thrilling back-and-forth battle between the two rival teams. However, it was the United States who came out on top, thanks to an outstanding performance from rising star Jaedyn Shaw.

The Heroic Naeher
With just seconds left on the clock, Canada was awarded a penalty after a VAR review, and Adriana Leon stepped up to take it. However, U.S. goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher had other plans, saving three penalties and even scoring one herself to ultimately secure the victory for her team.
